I often feel uneasy here when I’m heading home in the evening, even on weekdays. It’s all too common to come across drunk and unpredictable men. I’ve had my fair share of unwelcome comments from men outside Espresso House, Gröna Jägarn, and Shotluckan. Even in broad daylight.
As a precaution, I tend to stick to the other side of the street and either talk on the phone with a friend or keep my keys ready in my hand, in case I need to use them as a weapon.
